The Central Coast Rugby Union Referee's Association is based around the areas north of Hornsby to Budgewoi in New South Wales with the major centres being located in the Gosford and Wyong areas. The zone that we appoint referees as match officials to has four senior grades; Premier 1, Premier 2, Under 19s and a President's Cup competition. There are nine clubs that field teams in these competitions. We also appoint referees to junior competition games in the age groups from Under 7s to Under 17s. In total, there are approximately 50 games each weekend which need to be refereed.

We would welcome anybody who wishes to join our Association to make contact via this website. Refereeing is an ideal way to keep fit and to 'give back' to the game, it is also the 'best seat in the house' from which to watch a game of Rugby. We have games at a level to suit any participant so come along, gain your referee's qualification and begin refereeing - it can be for enjoyment and/or your initial step in a pathway towards a professional career.

Are you interested in gaining a place at the best seat at the Rugby ground in 2020 - by refereeing?

Special mention of thanks to Peter Scholes who officiated in 8 out of 9 of the CCJRU Grand Finals. Peter refereed the Under 12 game and was either appointed to or volunteered for all but one other game. With games starting at 9:00am and the final game kicking off at 7:00pm, this was a Herculean effort from Pete. A great young club man.
